Setting up your equipment

Due to differences between modems and routers which affect how you set them up, we do recommend you refer to the manufacturer's instructions. For a quick install guide to getting connected, please refer to our equipment guides.

You'll also need to have the following details to hand, all of which have been provided in your Welcome letter and email.

  • your activation date
  • your username
  • your password

If you try to connect before your activation date, it won't work! It's also worth noting that your broadband connection username and password are not the same as your username and password which were issued when you signed up and which you use in Bulldog Lounge.

With some equipment you may also be prompted for additional information as below:

  • VPI: 0
  • VCI: 38
  • Encapsulation: PPPoA using VC-MUX
  • Authentication: CHAP
  • Modulation: G.dmt
  • Fixed WAN IP Address or IP range (if purchased): see your Welcome letter or email
