Broadband settings
With our broadband services you don't need to set any predefined IP address or DNS server addresses. You just need to check your PC has the following settings:
IP address 'Obtain an IP address automatically'
DNS 'Obtain DNS server address automatically'
How to check your broadband settings (Windows XP)
1. Click the Start button, then select Control Panel.
2. Click on the link labelled Network Connections to see a list of your network connections.
3. Double-click on the icon labelled Local Area Connection to configure your network connection.
The following dialog box should appear:

4. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties. The following dialog box should appear:

5. Select the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically options.
6. Click on OK button to finish.
DNS
Your actual DNS settings will depend on where you are in the UK:
South:
Primary: 83.146.21.5
Alternate: 83.146.21.6
North:
Primary: 212.158.248.5
Alternate: 212.158.248.6
